Muse Logic Records: A Major Announcement... and a Farewell?

It is with a heavy heart and a high-speed data connection that we bring you today’s news. After much deliberation during our February Think Tank sessions, the board at Muse Logic Records has decided to take a radical new direction for the start of Q2.

The Great Migration to 8-Bit

Effective immediately, Muse Logic is retiring all high-fidelity studio equipment. We have realized that the pursuit of "human-sounding" high-definition audio was a distraction. Starting today, all artists—including Peaks and Shadows, Squarely Round, and even the high-energy Funky Angles—will be required to record their upcoming albums exclusively on repurposed 1989 Nintendo Game Boys.

"We found that 124 bpm just sounds more authentic when it’s crushed into four-channel wavetable synthesis," said one anonymous A&R executive. "If it doesn't sound like a boss fight in a 2D dungeon, it's not Muse Logic."

The "Silent" World Tour

In addition to our new sonic signature, we are announcing the "Absolute Zero" Tour. We have partnered with LoMaC (League of Music and Code) to develop a concert series where the bands don't actually play instruments. Instead, they will sit on stage in complete silence while the audience codes the music in real-time on their phones. If the crowd’s code doesn’t compile, the show simply doesn't happen.

Mandatory Uniforms: The Geodesic Onesie

Finally, to better align with the aesthetic of the TAP G Academy trailheads, all fans attending Muse Logic sanctioned events will be required to wear full-body, silver-lame geodesic onesies. These suits are designed to optimize "rhythmic resonance" and, more importantly, make it much easier to find you if you get lost on the Ridge Road trails during a deep listening workshop.

APRIL FOOLS!

Don’t worry—your ears (and your wardrobe) are safe. We aren't trading our slap-bass for 8-bit bleeps just yet. In reality, we are gearing up for the very real March Madness Live Code Competition which is wrapping up this week.

Thank you for being part of this community where we can experiment, push boundaries, and occasionally pull your leg. Stay tuned—real (and high-fidelity) music is on the way!
